The panelists for this special online presentation include UCLA Egyptologist Jonathan Winnerman and Lighthouse Immersive Creative Consultant Richard Ouzounian, with PBS Chicago arts correspondent Angel Idowu moderating the discussion.

Jonathan Winnerman

Jonathan Winnerman is an Academic Administrator in Ancient Studies at UCLA. He graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, where he received his MA and PhD in Egyptology. A specialist in ancient Egyptian language and visual culture, his research focuses on different approaches to the interpretation of ancient Egyptian religion.

Richard Ouzounian

Lighthouse Immersive Creative Consultant Richard Ouzounian has worked in the arts professionally for 50 years. During that time he directed, wrote or performed in nearly 300 shows, served as artistic director for five major Canadian theatres, and was the theater critic of the Toronto Star for 15 years. Since joining Lighthouse Immersive in 2020, he has authored their books on Van Gogh, Klimt and Kahlo.

Angel Idowu

PBS Chicago arts correspondent Angel Idowu received her Master's of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. This opportunity allowed her to work as an on-air reporter in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and South Africa. She has been a host of PBS’s “Chicago Tonight” since 2019.
